BlackBerry Curve 8530 can be regarded as a refresher of the Curve 83xx in the BlackBerry line up.

The device comes with a fashion-forward design that is designed for younger consumers. The trackpad is in place of trackball. It is easy in usage and offers reliable performance. Such keys as the End, Return, Talk as well as Menu are redesigned and they look like they as if they are the part of the screen.

When talking about the screen it should be said that it pales if compare with the display on the Tour. But in fact there is nothing bad about Curve’s screen. The device comes with the LED indicator light that is annoying.

As for the size of the Curve 8530, it is smaller than the Tour and a bit lighter. The device is based on the BlackBerry OS 5.0. As for this operation system, it is not so revolutionary, but it provides some improvements like wirelessly syncing of contacts that is available with certain email providers, better application permission management, the ability to flag messages for follow up and also the ability to cope with ringing profile settings.

It should be mentioned that it is not so powerful than the Tour. If talk about the call quality of the device, one can sat that it is average.

The BlackBerry Curve 8530 features a 3G Sprint antenna, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone also includes standard BlackBerry apps such as the BlackBerry Maps, DocumentsToGo office suite, Pandora, and social networking apps.

It has an integrated 2 megapixel camera but it does not have auto-focus and offers a lower resolution, but in fact the camera performs well.
