ZyXEL Launches Dual Band Wireless in India

ZyXel has launched P-335U, a new Dual Band Wireless router in the India. The router incorporates the bandwidth management feature. Along with the capability to deliver stateful inspection filtering for network protection, it also handles the limited bandwidth for multimedia applications.

Mahendra Lalwani, managing director, ZyXEL Technology India Pvt. Ltd. said, “With ZyXEL’s exclusive Media Bandwidth Management v2 (MBM v2), the P-335U also provides the most comprehensive way to smartly manage the limited bandwidth for multimedia applications.”

It has the Ability to deliver stateful inspection filtering for network protection; this new router also comes with a default firewall setting to check all the outgoing and incoming traffic in the protected LAN.

TCP/UDP inspection, DoS (Denial of Services) detection and prevention, real time alert, reports and logs are features of the firewall. It also handles the limited bandwidth for multimedia applications. Besides, you can share Internet connectivity and printing resources too.

It also comes equipped with integrated USB print server, enabling consumers to share a printer on the network, doing away with a host PC on. Additionally, P-335U has four auto-sensing switched LAN ports and Network Address Translation (NET) routing. With this, many home LAN users can access one broadband connection and share printing resources, simultaneously.

P-335U support also Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM), based on a subset of the IEEE 802.11e WLAN QoS draft standard. This helps P-335U to improve the user experience for audio, video and voice applications over a wireless network. The ZyXEL P-335U Dual Band Wireless Router is priced at Rs. 5,750 (excluding taxes) and comes with a 2-years warranty.
